Problem Solving
I approach technical challenges logically and stay focused on the practical solution rather than the most interesting one. Most problems are resolved by narrowing down carefully, not by guessing quickly.
I combine technology, design, problem solving and an understanding of what a website is actually for. The technical part is necessary; on its own it is rarely sufficient.

I build websites for organisations that need them to actually do something: bring in enquiries, explain a service, hold together under real traffic, and stay maintainable once I have handed them over.
I hold a Diploma in Computer and Software Engineering from Makerere Institute of Technology East Africa, and I have practical experience across web development, WordPress, IT support, website maintenance, digital systems, SEO, digital marketing and client consultation.
Most of that experience was built over three years at Yunga Technologies Uganda Ltd, where a single week could involve building a site, restoring a broken one, explaining a technical constraint to a client in plain language, and fixing a machine that would not connect. That range is where I learned that reliability matters more to clients than cleverness.
In practice my work spans four areas that overlap more than they separate:
I describe my level with a technology honestly. Some things I use daily and know well; others I have working knowledge of and am still developing. You will not find proficiency percentages on this site, because I would have to invent them, and you would find out soon enough.
The same applies to results. Where a project has measured outcomes, they are published. Where it does not yet, the case study says so rather than filling the gap with a number.
A short route, honestly told. Nothing here is padded out.

The parts of the job that decide whether a project goes well, and that are harder to list on a CV than a technology stack.
I approach technical challenges logically and stay focused on the practical solution rather than the most interesting one. Most problems are resolved by narrowing down carefully, not by guessing quickly.
Comfortable learning new tools and adjusting to changing project requirements. The technology I use is chosen to fit the project, which means regularly working outside what is already familiar.
Able to translate technical requirements into terms a client can make decisions with, explaining the trade-off and not just the recommendation.
Focused on usability, consistency, responsiveness and technical quality. The difference between a site that feels professional and one that does not is usually a hundred small things.
Comfortable taking responsibility for a project from development through deployment and ongoing support, including the parts that are nobody's favourite.
Actively developing my technical and digital skills. Where my experience with a technology is still growing, I say so rather than overstate it.
Seven stages, applied consistently. The order matters, because most project problems trace back to a stage that was skipped rather than a stage that was done badly.
Understand the organisation, the audience and the business objective before anything is designed.
Define the information architecture, technical requirements and project direction.
Create intuitive UI/UX and responsive layouts, structure first and styling second.
Develop the site with the appropriate technology, in a way the next person can maintain.
Improve performance, SEO, accessibility and security before launch, not after.
Deploy, test and verify, including the parts that usually get skipped.
Maintenance, improvements and technical support once it is live.
Formal training, listed exactly as awarded.
